, Hana Bank runs a dedicated IT system for its banking activity, which involves transactions between over 300 branches. The bank's very extensive IT infrastructure is distributed throughout the country. Systems management and reporting is highly complex due to the volume and variety of production servers at Hana Bank, which has about 80 UNIX servers including 50 that are dedicated to mission-critical applications and 4 mainframes running under OS/390.
Because internal maintenance was unable to keep up on its own with the various system technical failures of such a heterogeneous server base, Hana Bank needed to find a monitoring solution that was capable of supervising critical system resources in real-time, alerting IT teams in real-time so they could anticipate and respond to malfunctions. This solution had to integrate easily and very quickly with their existing IT systems.
The Solution: System Monitoring, Diagnostics and Performance
The solution developed by Sysload Software offers a suite of services adapted to meet Hana Bank's technical requirements:
- Fast implementation cycle and transparency of the solution: Only a few days were needed to deploy Sysload across the entire server base and to integrate it with the various frameworks in place. Sysload collection agents are installed transparently and consume less than 1% of system resources, which was a decisive advantage for Hana Bank.
- Permanent monitoring: Sysload continuously supervises activity in real-time and ensures the availability of Hana Bank's systems. IT teams are informed instantaneously of the many banking operations undertaken and can quickly identify root causes of incidents.
